The 2007 Edition is revised with extensive new material and  photos.  This genealogy work covers an approximate 267 year time frame,  starting with the birth of Richard Pinkerton Sr. (circa 1740) in Northern  Ireland.  It includes all of the descendants through 9 generations that  the authors have so far been able  to locate, born to the six known children  of Richard Pinkerton Sr. and  Margaret Wright Pinkerton, who were  married around 1766 in Pennsylvania and  later settled in the Somerset  County, Upper Turkeyfoot Township, Pennsylvania area. Besides nine  generations of descendant information, this volume also includes genealogy  research terminology and definitions; old-time occupational terminology  and definitions; old-time medical terminology and definitions; a relationship  chart; 1,161 photos (twenty-one of  which were added after the cover design’s  completion); a specially made Family Group Sheet; which you may make copies  of so that you can personally record your lineage through- out the book for your own personal use and an inserted order form in the back for those who  wish to pre-order Volume Two or a copy of this volume as a gift for a family  member or if you just wish to contact the authors about anything pertaining  to the book.
