Just how important is a father in every child’s life? In A Father’s Gift, author Dr. Jennifer Jordan demonstrates through a collection of poems that nothing is more important to the physical, spiritual, and emotional health of young children than having a strong relationship with their biological father. You’ll find excerpts from her personal journal as she shares her own emotional pain of growing up with a father absent from her life.
Dr. Jordan states,
"It is time for fathers to take full responsibility for their own children. Our society continues to suffer from this one thing that we all have in common -- the need to be loved. Every child needs to be loved, encouraged, supported, and held in the arms of his or her very own father."
Let this book teach you about:
The feeling of loss that children experience when their biological fathers are absent from their lives.
The consequences that fathers must face when leaving their children to be raised by someone else.
How to build a closer relationship with the father or the child in your life.
