About the Author:

Dennis Joe Lampley was born October 10, 1951 in Nashville, TN. At age 4 his family moved back to the family farm in the Liberty Hill Community of the 1st District of Williamson County. The land had been pioneered by his great-great-great grandfather in 1811. He and wife Irene, a member of the Tidwell family who were also pioneers of the area, continue to reside on the home place as the sixth generation on the same land. Lampley graduated from Fairview High School and received his B.S. Degree in Agriculture from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. After working in the dairy industry
for several years, he now works for the Tennessee.
